The history Gas Bijoux is invariably linked to that of a family. The first chapter was written at the end of the 60's, upon the canvas of Saint Tropez’s beaches. André Gas, a young artist from Marseille who’d graduated from the Beaux-Arts school, would stroll up and down selling the good luck jewelry he handmade. Though the young trailblazer was immediately successful, he didn’t miss a beat. And once again, this story unfolded under the sun…

André Gas’ greatest success is surely having passed his energy, passion and curiosity down to his children, who joined him in the late 90's.

At the heart of Gas Bijoux lies the Atelier perched on the hills of Marseille, André Gas’ hometown, where all Gas Bijoux creations are designed and handmade by a unique team of gifted artisans mastering techniques as varied as enameling, gem setting, weaving, polishing...

In this unique creative laboratory and workshop, drawers overflow with a multitude of different materials with chains, charms, gems, glass, pearls, sequins, rhinestones... from every part of the world reflecting on the unique intricacy and complexity of manufacturing a Gas Bijoux piece. André Gas manages this beehive like a true orchestra director, personally verifying each new model and making sure he is completely satisfied with them before they leave the Atelier

In recognition of this unique savoir-faire, Gas Bijoux was, in 2011, awarded the prestigious Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label by the French Ministry of Economy alongside the likes of Boucheron and Van Cleef & Arpels.
