La Condesa (Spanish for “The Countess”), was founded in 2009 by Marina Conde. The name of the brand, a variation of her mother's surname, is a tribute to her origins, as well as to the delusions of grandeur existing in all of us. The emblem of a crown, part of the logo, references wealth and glamour. La Condesa unique military-inspired jackets, influenced by previous eras, travels and music the designer grew up with, fuse the love for craftsmanship with unexpected details. The first jacket the proudly made in Spain brand has ever made, was a custom piece for a debut concert of a rock singer. The reaction exceeded Marina’s wildest expectations, and the rest, as they say, is history. Currently, the young label shows its collections twice a year at Madrid Fashion Show. All the garments, with signature magenta lining, are handmade by the best dressmakers.
